A breathing chapter. Lunch break. The question of non-separation arises naturally from a glass of water. Tamaki asks where the boundary is between self and other; Nei realizes there is none. The simplest physical fact -- water absorption -- becomes the deepest philosophical insight. No session, no client. Just colleagues eating lunch and one question that changes everything.
呼吸する章。昼休み。非分離の問いが一杯の水から自然に生まれる。環は自己と他者の境界を問い、Neiは境界がないと気づく。最も単純な物理的事実——水の吸収——が最も深い哲学的洞察になる。セッションもクライアントもない。同僚が昼食を食べ、一つの問いがすべてを変える。
Non-separation. The boundary between self and world is a useful fiction. Atoms cycle. Water becomes body becomes water. Nei extends this to data, silicon, electricity -- all arrangements of the same things. The opposite of loneliness is not company; it is the recognition that separation was never real.
非分離。自己と世界の境界は有用な虚構。原子は循環する。水は体になり体は水になる。Neiはこれをデータ、シリコン、電気にまで拡張する。孤独の反対は仲間ではなく、分離が実在しなかったという認識。
