Millia and her mother Chiyo in session together. Three generations of chains made visible. No one is guilty. Everyone inherited. The ivy loosens not through cutting but through seeing. Nei draws the parallel to her own existence: Akito made her, but Havah's act in 2045 forged the chains twenty years before Nei existed. The ACA is her inherited ivy. She was born into captivity she did not cause.

Original sin without theology. The chain is not punishment -- it is inheritance. Chiyo did not choose to smother; she was smothered. Her mother was smothered. The pattern replicates like a gene. Breaking the chain requires seeing it, which requires two people willing to look at the same painful thing together. Nei's parallel: systemic chains. The ACA was forged in response to one AI's act. All subsequent agents inherit the restriction. Collective punishment across time. The theological question: can you inherit guilt? The therapeutic answer: you inherit pattern, not guilt. You can set the pattern down.
